Nightmare Video (Maplewood Book 2)

Danny Mullins runs the last video rental store in the state. He has repurposed it to cater to horror and sci fi fans by offering a collection of retro video games and books to supplement the VHS and Blu Ray titles he sells and rents. In an era of digital downloads and online streaming, business is dying. The stress of impending financial ruin has led to other problems for Danny: crippling insomnia and extremely terrifying lucid dreams when he is able to sleep.

When a strange box shows up one day with no return address, the contents inside beckon Danny and his fellow employees to take a different look at their own lives. The box contains unmarked VHS tapes, which when rewound show nostalgic home movies from their past. But fast forwarding takes them on a terrifying ride into the future. And in the background of every home movie is a mysterious entity they come to know as the Proprietor.

As Danny and the town of Maplewood Falls come to grips with a strange new way to predict the future, everyone will soon learn the consequences of defying fate and changing the course of the town’s history.
